Andrew holds a B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Limerick.
Andrew’s research interests centre on developing methods at the intersection of statistical modelling and machine learning.
For his PhD thesis, he developed staticially-based methods for neural networks, with a particular focus on model selection and interpretation.
Thesis title: A Statistical Approach to Model Selection and Uncertainty Quantification in Neural Networks
12 week training placement: Hertz. Andrew’s project focused on telematics-based customer segmentation using cluster analysis.
