Ganesh is working on Distributed Machine Learning in his PhD where he is developing algorithms to perform machine learning tasks without collecting datasets. This research directly solves the privacy concerns about a ML task, and also improves computational efficiency. His research area includes use of multiple domains like ML, Optimization, Statistics, Communication and Control Theory. Ganesh has done an 8 weeks international placement at University of Padova, Italy where he worked on Decentralised ML (without the edge server). Ganesh graduated with a Master’s degree in Data Science and Analytics from Maynooth University. His bachelor’s degree is in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MSIT, India. Ganesh has also worked in ETL and Database management for two and a half years. He is interested in Statistics and Machine Learning and is passionate about exploring the applications of data science in solving industry problems.

12 week training placement: Ericsson : Bayesian Network and Causal Analysis on cellular network data.

Areas of interest: Convex Optimization, ML, Statistics, Privacy in ML.
